Blind Faith is the only studio album by the English supergroup Blind Faith, originally released in the United States on 9 August 1969[3] on Atco Records, and in the United Kingdom on 22 August 1969[4] on Polydor Records and in Europe.
The band was formed when guitarist Eric Clapton and organist Steve Winwood had no projects in the works. Clapton's band, Cream, had disbanded and Winwood had The Spencer Davis Group and Traffic behind him. They knew each other from before and the two gradually began to meet and jam together.
